Topic:
A Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment to Articles 3, 5 and 15 to Revise the Ordinance Provisions Related to the Importation, Storage or Disposal of Fill Material
Topic Description:
This text amendment amends the standards and definitions in conjunction with the importation, storage, and disposal of nonagricultural fill, excavation material, waste and debris if the materials are not generated on the farm. The Attorney General opined that jurisdictions may require a legislative approval for fill operations where the materials are not generated on the farm. The Board of Supervisors initiated this text amendment on July 11, 2019. On March 18, 2021, the Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval following a public hearing on March 18, 2021.
Requested Action:
Conduct the Public Hearing and consider adoption of the attached Ordinance.
